The scene where Mayfeld sits across from an Imperial officer at Morak and is forced to confront what the Empire actually did — and what his own role in it meant — is one of The Mandalorian's finest moments, and it reframes everything about who he is. He's not redeemed in a clean sense; he's a man who did terrible things and knows it, and that self-awareness is what makes him interesting. The Black Series figure captures his Morak-era look, the version of the character at the point where his story actually has something to say.
