Jurassic World: Rebirth – Gigantic Thrashers Chilantaisaurus

Chilantaisaurus tashuikouensis was a massive theropod from the Late Cretaceous of Inner Mongolia — one of the largest predatory dinosaurs ever found in Asia, estimated at up to 11 metres in length. What makes it paleontologically significant is its forelimb anatomy: Chilantaisaurus had unusually large, strongly curved hand claws that suggest it may have been a close relative of spinosaurids or belonged to a separate lineage of large-clawed theropods, placing it at the centre of ongoing debates about theropod classification in Asia. It was formally described in 1964 but remained poorly understood for decades due to fragmentary material, making it one of the more enigmatic giants of its era. The Gigantic Thrashers figure captures its scale at approximately 14 inches, with the line's signature thrashing action feature built into the design.
