Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous – Wild Pack Mononykus

Mononykus — literally “one claw” — is one of the most anatomically unusual theropods in the fossil record. An alvarezsaurid from Late Cretaceous Mongolia, it had highly reduced forelimbs with a single large, robust claw on each hand, adapted for breaking into insect colonies rather than grasping prey. Its long legs and lightweight build made it fast and agile, occupying an ecological niche closer to an anteater than a predator. Camp Cretaceous brought this obscure genus to a new generation of fans, and the Wild Pack format gives it the articulated action feature that makes it one of the more interactive small-scale figures in the Jurassic World line.
