The Convention Crasher is Mattel’s San Diego Comic-Con 2025 exclusive for the Hammond Collection — and it’s one of the most elaborate sets the line has produced. At its centre is “Buck”, the male T. Rex from The Lost World: Jurassic Park: 24.35 inches long and 9.72 inches tall, with realistic glass eyes, proportionate feet, an articulated jaw, and a poseable rubber tongue. Alongside him is a “Super Fan” figure — 5.72 inches tall, dressed in an inflatable vinyl and plastic T-Rex costume, with two swappable heads (relaxed and surprised). The set leans into the convention experience with a miniature Jurassic Park-branded tote bag packed with exclusive items and posters, a heavy-canvas fabric banner riffing on the iconic “When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth” movie sign, and a miniature 2D replica of the entire Convention Crasher set itself. The outer packaging channels late-’90s tech and television aesthetics; the inner box is designed to resemble the San Diego Convention Center.
