Jurassic World: Chaos Theory – Wild Roar Kentrosaurus

Kentrosaurus aethiopicus was described from the Tendaguru Formation of Tanzania in 1915, dating to the Late Jurassic (Kimmeridgian stage, approximately 155 million years ago) — the same formation and roughly the same time period as the North American Stegosaurus, making the two animals close relatives separated by the ancient Tethys Sea. Where Stegosaurus carries large flat plates along its back, Kentrosaurus takes a different approach: the front half of the body bears small plates, transitioning to paired spikes along the hips and tail, with an additional pair of long shoulder spikes projecting outward from the pectoral region. Those shoulder spikes are Kentrosaurus's most distinctive feature — a lateral defence system that would have made it extremely difficult to attack from the side. At roughly 4.5 metres in length it was smaller than Stegosaurus but more heavily armed in proportion to its size. The Wild Roar format brings that spike-heavy silhouette to life with sound and movement features.
