Zap was one of the original thirteen G.I. Joe members released in 1982 — the team’s bazooka specialist and one of the few Joes with a background in demolitions as well as anti-armour combat. Born in New York City, his file card established him as a calm, methodical operator who preferred to let the hardware do the talking. As a founding member of the Classified Series’ ongoing push to honour the original roster, the Retro Cardback format puts him back in the vintage blister card presentation that defined the line’s first decade.
