G.I. Joe Classified Series: Dreadnoks – Dreadnok Monkeywrench (#167)

Monkeywrench debuted in 1986 as one of the second wave of Dreadnoks — Zartan's Cobra-affiliated biker gang recruited from the criminal fringes of multiple countries. His file card established him as a British-born demolitions obsessive with a particular fondness for booby traps and improvised explosive devices, a background that made him the Dreadnoks' go-to for anything that needed to be blown up creatively rather than efficiently. Where Torch used a flamethrower and Ripper used a gaff hook, Monkeywrench built things — unstable, unpredictable things — and his willingness to work with whatever materials were available made him genuinely dangerous in a way that pure muscle wasn't. The Dreadnoks as a faction occupy a specific space in the G.I. Joe mythology: too chaotic to be reliable Cobra soldiers, too useful to Zartan to be cut loose, and entertaining enough that the Marvel Comics run gave them substantial page time beyond their toy-line appearances. The Classified Series release brings Monkeywrench into the modern 6-inch scale with the articulation and accessory detail the line is known for, filling out the Dreadnok roster alongside Zartan, Buzzer, Ripper, and Torch.
