In Transformers: Animated, Motormaster is the Stunticon commander — a massive, aggressive Decepticon whose semi-truck alt mode is built for one purpose: running Autobots off the road. His rivalry with Optimus Prime is personal and physical, rooted in the fact that they share the same vehicle class, and Motormaster treats every encounter as a chance to prove that the Decepticon version of a truck is definitively superior. The Animated Universe design gives him the exaggerated, angular silhouette that defined the 2007 series — broader shoulders, a more stylised cab-over truck form, and a visual language distinct from both the G1 blocky aesthetic and the film designs. As the Stunticon leader he also forms the torso of Menasor, the combined gestalt that represents the team's ultimate threat. The Legacy United line brings that Animated Universe design into the Voyager Class format, with the scale to match his commanding presence as a Decepticon heavy.
