Jurassic World: Survival – Wild Roar Stomatosuchus

Stomatosuchus inermis is one of the most extraordinary and tragic specimens in the fossil record — a giant Late Cretaceous crocodyliform from Egypt, known from a single enormous skull that was estimated at around 2 metres in length, suggesting a total body length of up to 10 metres. What made it truly unique was its jaw structure: a broad, flat snout and a lower jaw believed to have supported a large pelican-like throat pouch, suggesting it may have been a filter feeder rather than an active predator. The original specimen was housed in Munich and was destroyed in a WWII bombing raid in 1944, making it one of palaeontology’s great lost fossils. Its inclusion in the Jurassic World: Survival Wild Roar line gives this lost giant a physical presence it has never had before.

Includes: Dinosaur figure.
