Throughout the series Jimmy functions as the grounded procedural anchor — the person asking the right questions while everyone else is distracted by the sitcom reality Wanda has constructed. He's the one who first identifies that the residents of Westview are real people being controlled, and his partnership with Darcy Lewis and Monica Rambeau gives the outside-the-Hex storyline its momentum. His card magic — a running gag from Ant-Man and the Wasp that he's been practising — pays off in WandaVision as a character detail that makes him one of the MCU's most quietly endearing supporting figures.
