Rahne Sinclair is one of the most emotionally complex characters in the New Mutants — a deeply religious Scottish mutant raised by a strict Presbyterian minister who viewed her wolf-transformation as evidence of demonic possession. That tension between her faith and her mutation runs through everything she does, making her internal conflict more psychologically specific than almost any other character in the X-Men extended family. She was a founding member of the New Mutants alongside Cannonball, Mirage, Sunspot, and Karma, and her empathic bond with Mirage — a connection that allowed them to sense each other's emotions — gave the team one of its most distinctive relationships. Her time with X-Factor added further complexity, particularly her bond with Havok, which pushed her character into territory the New Mutants stories rarely explored. Getting a Legends figure at all is significant for a character who has been central to the X-Men's younger generation stories since 1982 without ever receiving the figure treatment her history warranted.
